Each unique jet can be personally designed down to the tiniest luxurious detail for work or play.
Photographer Nick Gleis specializes in picturing such planes. But many of the owners wish to remain anonymous, so around 90 percent of Gleis's work is never seen by the public.
Well-known names who feature in the photos below include Jackie Chan, Saudi Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal and Donald Trump.
Chan's plush jet has his name and intertwining dragons emblazoned on the side. Al-Waleed's has several planes and his 'flying palace' includes a concert hall complete with a grand piano. And Donald Trump's chosen transport has 18 IMAX-level speakers in the cinema room.

Heel the world: Incredible time lapse video shows more than 16,000 pairs of shoes lined up together in huge world record attempt — Thousands of shoes of all shapes and sizes, lined up alongside each other heel to toe, you could be forgiven for thinking this was some kind of modern art installation. In fact these startling images are from a new Guinness World Record set by National Geographic Kids magazine for the largest number of shoes collected for recycling in one place as part of their Run for the Planet campaign. Staff at the headquarters in Washington D.C emptied more than 50 gigantic boxes filled with unwanted trainers of all kinds sent by families and children from across America and set a new record of 16,407.
Sole solution: National Geographic collected 16,407 pairs of unwanted shoes to recycle breaking a Guinness World Record.
Running total: It was the second world record set by National Geographic after they set the record for the most people to run 100 metres in 24 hours with 30,914.

The "I love you" wall stands at the center of the Abbesses garden at Montmartre, Paris, and covers a surface area of 40 square meters with a total of 612 tiles of enameled lava. The phrase "I love you" is written more than a thousand times in over 300 different languages.
The wall was created by two artists - Frederic Baron and Claire Kito - as a rendezvous location for lovers and a lasting monument to eternal adoration. The phrases were collected by Frederic Baron in notebooks by knocking on the doors of embassies and asking their neighbors until he had collected more than 300 languages all expressing the powerful sentiment of love. Frederic Baron then asked Claire Kito, an artist who practices oriental calligraphy, to assemble the script.
Says Frederic Baron: "The bursts of color on the fresco represent the pieces of a broken heart, the heart of a humanity so often torn apart and which the wall tries to gather together."
