• Cristo claims to have hundreds of followers, some who live at his 'church' compound
• In 35 years, he has travelled to 27 countries, been arrested 40 times and expelled from Britain and the US

A 66-year-old Brazilian man has spent 35 years preaching the word of God - because he believes he is the reincarnation of Jesus.

Inri Cristo has 'hundreds of followers' from around the world, including the UK, Britain and France, some of whom live with him at his 'church' compound outside Brasilia.

Since 1979 he has travelled for 27 countries to spread his word, however his controversial views has seen him expelled from the US, Britain and Venezuela.

Heart-warming pictures of the real life Mowgli, a girl who spent the first ten years of her life growing up in the African bush, have been released for the first time.

The magical images chronicle the life of Tippi Benjamine Okanti Degre, who was brought up with wild animals, just like Rudyard Kipling's hero did in The Jungle Book.

The images in 'Tippi: My Book of Africa' - now being published worldwide for the first time - show the young girl making friends with an elephant, who she calls her brother, and a leopard, her best friend.

She is one of only three people born with an unusual genetic ailment that prevents her from gaining any weight, but now, Lizzie Velasquez is sharing her inspirational life story to inspire others Trends

When Lizzie Velasquez, 24, was in high school, she discovered an eight-second video online that featured a photo of her face. It called her the "world's ugliest woman" and had been viewed more than four million times.

What would have destroyed many only made Velasquez, who suffers from a very rare syndrome that prevents her from putting on weight and cost her the vision in one eye, stronger.

"Am I gonna let the people who called me a monster define me?...No. I'm gonna let my goals and my success and my accomplishments be the things that define me," she said.

She vowed to become a motivational speaker, an author and a college graduate.

Only a few years later, she is proudly all of the above.

At a recent TED Talk in Austin,TX, Velasquez shared her life story before asking the crowd, "What defines you?"

"For so long, I thought what defined me was my outer appearance," she told them, admitting that when she was younger, she woke up every day wanting to look different.

But thanks to her "amazing" support system, Velasquez found the strength to rise above the bullying and negative thoughts:

"My life is in my hands. I could either choose to make this really good or choose to make this really bad."

"The best way that I could get back at all those people who made fun of me…was to make myself better," she said, sharing how she chose to turn around the negative things and use them as a ladder to reach her goals.

Her message struck a chord. This morning, Velasquez wrote about the overwhelming response to her talk:

"Before I went to bed last night I thanked God for the INCREDIBLE messages of support and love I've been flooded with. I also prayed for the people who are hurting in their own lives and in turn take it out on me," she wrote on Facebook. "This morning when I woke up, my phone, email, twitter, YouTube, and Facebook were about to explode with love!! I've said it before and I'll say it again, THANK YOU! Thank you for believing in my message and thank you for helping me share my story."

Many couples would be disappointed if their wedding day coincided with bad weather, but some have used the dramatic scenery as a stunning backdrop for photos.

In a series of images compiled by the Huffington Post, rain, snow, thunderstorms and clouds provide the background for newlyweds' striking wedding images.

Whether they're ducking under umbrellas or fully embracing the elements, the bad weather doesn't stop these couples from showing how happy they are to embark on the rest of their lives together.

In one of the photos, which was taken by Astoria, Oregon-based photographer Justin Grafton, a groom and his bride stand kissing in the rain under a green and white umbrella.

Rather than ruining the photo, the rain dropping around them merely heightens the romanticism of it, adding a shiny gleam to their surroundings.

Another newly married couple endure a blizzard in their loved-up wedding photo.

The image of Claire and Chris - photographed by Crystal Heis from Lexington, Kentucky - shows them huddled up together while snow blows all around them, making for a rather enchanting shot.
